The Board of Steel Exchange India met on 19 May 2025 and approved audited results for Q4 and FY ended 31 March 2025. FY25 revenue from operations rose to ₹1,14,402 lakhs (from ₹1,09,129 lakhs in FY24), and net profit jumped to ₹2,593 lakhs (from ₹1,089 lakhs), with EPS of ₹0.22 versus ₹0.09. Profit before tax surged to ₹4,550 lakhs (from ₹127 lakhs), helped by higher other income of ₹1,935 lakhs. The Board also appointed M/s B S S & Associates as Secretarial Auditor for five years and approved forming a new wholly-owned subsidiary, 'SEIL Infra Logistics Limited', to monetise non-core land and assets via infrastructure and logistics. The company recently commissioned expanded steel capacity – SMS raised to 3,62,000 MTPA and Rolling Mill to 3,57,000 MTPA. The statutory auditor (Pavuluri & Co.) issued an unmodified (clean) opinion.
Strong FY25 earnings turnaround and capacity expansion are positive for the stock, while the new subsidiary signals diversification into infrastructure/logistics. Debt-equity ratio improved to 0.48 and interest coverage to 2.07, indicating strengthening finances, though Q4 net profit fell sharply quarter-on-quarter (₹476 lakhs vs ₹1,586 lakhs in Q3) due to a deferred tax adjustment.
