Steel Exchange India repaid an extra Rs 16 crore towards term loans, taking total cumulative debt reduction to Rs 102 crore (about 30% of total long-term debt) since December 2025. This includes Rs 43.19 crore of NCD redemption. The reduction is driven by strong operational cash flows and equity inflows. For FY26, the company reported Total Income of Rs 1067 crore, EBITDA of Rs 138.03 crore and Net Profit of Rs 27 crore. Management aims to become completely debt-free in the near future.
Positive for shareholders. Lower finance costs should lift margins and profits, signalling balance sheet strength and a path to zero debt.
