Sterling Tools reported standalone fasteners revenue of ₹725.9 crore (up 11.4% YoY) with EBITDA margins improving to 15.3% from 14.5% last year, driven by better operating leverage and favourable product mix. Consolidated revenue declined 19.1% YoY to ₹839.5 crore due to ongoing losses in the EV subsidiary (SEM). The company remains net debt-free with strong cash generation. Management flagged that steel and energy prices are rising and some impact may flow through in coming quarters. New customer additions include entry into Tata PV segment, with new business wins of ₹64 crore in FY26. HVDC contactors production expected to start July/August 2026, while OBC and DC-DC lines will be commissioned by Q2FY27.
The fasteners business demonstrates resilience with margin improvement and market share gains, while EV diversification faces headwinds from slower-than-expected EV adoption (3-5 year delay cited). The net debt-free status and strong cash flows provide financial flexibility for continued EV investments.
