Sterling Tools Limited reported strong standalone FY2026 results with revenue of ₹71,672 lakhs (up 11% YoY) and net profit of ₹6,468 lakhs (up 51% YoY). The Board recommended a final dividend of ₹2.75 per share (137.5%), up from ₹2.50 last year. Key leadership changes include appointment of Mr. Anish Agarwal as both CFO and Whole-Time Director with effect from May 15, 2026, at a proposed remuneration of ₹1 crore per annum for 3 years. The company also approved investment of up to ₹20 crore in its wholly-owned subsidiary Sterling E-Mobility Solutions Limited. Consolidated results showed profit after tax of ₹3,004 lakhs, down from ₹4,877 lakhs in FY25, mainly due to subsidiary losses. Walker Chandiok & Co LLP continued as statutory auditors with an unmodified opinion.
The strong standalone performance and dividend increase are positive signals for shareholders. The new CFO/Director appointment brings fresh leadership. However, the decline in consolidated profit due to subsidiary losses may raise concerns about the e-mobility business. The ₹20 crore investment in the subsidiary signals continued focus on EV expansion despite current losses.
