The Hon'ble High Court of Delhi has dismissed STL's petition to set aside an arbitral award dated May 9, 2023 against Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. This relates to the company's former Global Services Business. The filing clarifies that due to a demerger approved by NCLT Mumbai (order dated February 14, 2025), this business was transferred to STL Networks Limited effective March 31, 2025. Accordingly, any contingent liability from this unfavorable legal outcome now falls on STL Networks Limited, not STL. STL Networks Limited has separately filed the required disclosure on May 12, 2026.
The dismissal of the petition to set aside the arbitral award represents a litigation loss. While STL has legally separated itself from this liability through the demerger, STL Networks Limited now faces potential contingent liability from this adverse court ruling.
