Brent crude traded above $99 a barrel while WTI was around $91, with both benchmarks poised for strong weekly gains of 10-13 percent. The US announced fresh tariffs of 10 and 12.5 percent on imports from 60 countries under Section 301, placing India in the lower 10 percent category; Gift Nifty was trading around 23,693, about 181 points below the previous futures close of 23,873.60.
