Stock market today: Gift Nifty hints weak start; eight day trading stocks to buy on Wednesday, 8 July

Indian equity indices are set to open lower on Wednesday, tracking weak overnight cues from Wall Street as escalating US-Iran tensions pressured global risk sentiment. On Tuesday, the Sensex fell 104.35 points (0.13%) to 78,180.72 and the Nifty 50 slipped 31.65 points (0.13%) to 24,398.70, snapping a four-session winning streak. Gift Nifty was trading around 24,234.5, a discount of 206 points from the previous close, while Brent crude rose 1.83% to $75.52 a barrel on supply-disruption concerns following US strikes on Iran.
