Storage Technologies and Automation Ltd (BSE: 544171) voluntarily filed its H1FY26 investor presentation, showing weak first-half results despite top-line growth on a standalone basis. Standalone revenue rose 7.9% YoY to ₹470.53 Mn but fell 7.4% versus H2FY25, mainly due to elongated project execution timelines. Gross margin expanded to 29.1% from 28.1%, but EBITDA collapsed to just ₹3.25 Mn (margin of 0.7%) from ₹40.36 Mn a year ago, hit by higher on-site manpower, rentals and execution overheads on delayed projects. The company slipped into a loss of ₹15.50 Mn versus a ₹12.45 Mn profit in H1FY25. Consolidated numbers were similarly weak, with revenue of ₹472.13 Mn and adjusted PAT loss of ₹15.02 Mn. Trade receivables have ballooned to ₹415.4 Mn (standalone) as of FY25, while short-term borrowings stood at ₹118 Mn.
Near-term results are disappointing with a clear margin compression and swing to losses, but management is guiding for a strong recovery, targeting ~₹1,200 Mn FY26 revenue and 7–9% EBITDA margin as delayed projects get billed in the seasonally stronger H2FY26 and cost overhangs normalise. Investors should watch H2FY26 execution closely, as the stock reaction will depend on whether the recovery materialises on schedule.
