Subam Papers Limited has submitted its audited financial results for FY 2025-26 (year ended March 31, 2026). Statutory auditors CNGSN & Associates LLP have issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated financial statements. On a standalone basis, total assets grew from Rs 5,009 Lakhs to Rs 5,650 Lakhs, while consolidated total assets increased from Rs 5,701 Lakhs to Rs 7,112 Lakhs. The company raised capital via equity shares (Rs 937 Lakhs net) and warrants (Rs 100 Lakhs). However, profitability metrics declined significantly: Net Profit Ratio fell from 5.77% to 2.21%, Return on Equity dropped from 10.22% to 3.06%, and Return on Capital Employed declined from 13.23% to 5.42%. Key ratios show debt-equity ratio deteriorated from 0.52 to 0.41 (consolidated), and debt service coverage ratio weakened sharply from 0.60 to 0.25.
The clean audit opinion is positive; however, shareholders should note the substantial decline in profitability margins and weakening debt service coverage. While asset base and revenue grew, the company is generating significantly lower returns on capital, raising concerns about capital allocation efficiency.
