Sudarshan Chemical Industries has submitted the Crisil Ratings Monitoring Agency report on use of QIP proceeds raised in January 2025. The company raised Rs. 80,000 lakh (gross) / Rs. 78,565.26 lakh (net) by issuing 74.76 lakh equity shares at Rs. 1,070 per share to qualified institutional buyers. As of March 31, 2025, Rs. 79,713.12 lakh (nearly 100%) of the proceeds have been deployed: Rs. 32,500 lakh was invested in subsidiary Sudarshan Europe B.V. (as NCRPS) for the Heubach Group pigment business acquisition, Rs. 28,500 lakh was used to repay/pre-pay existing borrowings, and Rs. 17,500 lakh was deployed as NCRPS in Sudarshan Europe B.V. (classified under General Corporate Purposes). The balance of Rs. 286.87 lakh sits idle in monitoring and escrow accounts. The Monitoring Agency confirmed no deviation from stated objects, no delay, and no major change versus earlier reports.
Positive for shareholders — the QIP proceeds have been deployed on schedule and entirely as planned, with the Heubach acquisition funding and debt reduction objectives fully achieved by Q4 FY25, which should strengthen the balance sheet and support the inorganic growth strategy. No negative signals on misuse or delay.
