Heubach Colorants India Limited's board approved its unaudited standalone financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Revenue from operations came in at Rs. 21,072 lakhs, up 21.5% from Rs. 17,338 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Net profit jumped sharply to Rs. 1,709 lakhs (from Rs. 517 lakhs in Q1 FY25), translating to an EPS of Rs. 7.40 versus Rs. 2.24 a year ago. The statutory auditor, M S K A & Associates, however, issued a limited review report with a modified (qualified) conclusion, flagging an ongoing matter around unauthorised transfer of certain company assets to a related party (Clariant India) without board approval. Separately, three personnel changes were noted: Independent Director Mr. Amitabha Mukhopadhyay resigned citing a likely conflict from increased engagement with a Sudarshan Chemical group company; Executive Director Mr. Jugal Sahu stepped down but continues as CFO; and Head of Operations Mr. Abhijit Naik also resigned. The company recently came under the control of Sudarshan Chemical Industries through Sudarshan Europe BV, which explains several governance transitions.
Operationally, the quarter shows a strong rebound with profits more than tripling year-on-year, which is positive for shareholders. However, the auditor's qualified opinion on asset-related irregularities and multiple senior resignations raise governance concerns that investors should watch closely.
