The Board of Sujala Trading & Holdings Ltd approved the audited financial results for Q4 and FY 2025-26. Total revenue declined significantly to Rs. 81.07 lakhs from Rs. 148.52 lakhs in the previous year (a 45% drop). The company posted a net loss of Rs. 2.22 lakhs for FY2026, an improvement from the Rs. 13.67 lakhs loss in FY2025. Operating cash flow turned negative at Rs. 33.63 lakhs (vs positive Rs. 5.53 lakhs in FY2025). The auditor flagged in the Emphasis of Matter section that the company did not book interest income on Rs. 6.30 crore in advances (classified as business advances) and recognized bad debts of Rs. 50.34 lakhs. There is also an outstanding income tax demand of Rs. 90.21 lakhs for AY 2022-23 on which the company has filed an appeal. The auditor issued an unmodified opinion with no material uncertainty on going concern.
The sharp revenue decline and negative operating cash flow are concerning for shareholders. The company continues to burn cash despite reducing its losses. The undisclosed interest income on large advances and significant bad debt write-offs raise questions about asset quality and related party transactions.
