Sula Vineyards posted its highest-ever full-year revenue of Rs 619.4 crore in FY25, up 1.1% YoY, with Q4 revenue at Rs 133.1 crore (up 1.8% YoY). However, profit after tank fell sharply by 24.8% YoY to Rs 70.2 crore in FY25, and operating EBITDA declined 15.2% to Rs 149.1 crore as margins contracted from 28.9% to 24.1%. Wine Tourism hit a record Rs 60.3 crore in FY25 (+10.2% YoY) and surged 24.6% in Q4, powered by SulaFest'25 and strong resort occupancy. The Elite & Premium segment reached an all-time high 77.1% share of sales, with Elite portfolio growing 17% YoY led by 'The Source' and 'RASA' brands. Q4 Own Brands sales dipped 2.9% YoY due to urban consumption slowdown, lower WIPS credit, export contraction, and retailer destocking in UP and Uttarakhand. Management says it is focused on restoring profitability and earnings growth in FY26.
Mixed results for shareholders: record topline and strong wine tourism momentum are positives, but a sharp ~25% drop in annual profit and shrinking margins may weigh on the stock in the short term. Watch for signs of urban demand recovery and improvement in profitability in FY26.
