Sumedha Fiscal Services Ltd, a Kolkata-based NBFC, has published its unaudited financial results for Q3 FY26 and the nine months ended December 31, 2025, in Financial Express and Aajkaal. On a standalone basis, Q3 net profit collapsed to just Rs. 21 lakh, sharply lower than Rs. 141.95 lakh in Q2 FY26 and Rs. 115.71 lakh in Q3 FY25. However, Q3 standalone revenue grew strongly year-on-year to Rs. 2,788.12 lakh from Rs. 1,673.94 lakh, a rise of about 66%. For 9M FY26, standalone net profit stood at Rs. 448.73 lakh versus Rs. 601.13 lakh in 9M FY25, a decline of roughly 25%, with 9M EPS at Rs. 5.62 versus Rs. 7.53. Consolidated numbers were broadly similar, with 9M FY26 net profit of Rs. 472.48 lakh versus Rs. 700.86 lakh in the year-ago period.
The steep sequential and year-on-year drop in Q3 profit, despite a strong revenue jump, points to significant margin compression and is likely to weigh negatively on the stock in the near term. The roughly 25% fall in 9-month profit and EPS may also dent investor confidence in the NBFC's near-term earnings trajectory.
