Sundaram Brake Linings reported mixed full-year results for FY26 ending March 31. Total income fell slightly to Rs 34,902.81 lakhs from Rs 35,502.70 lakhs in FY25. Net profit dropped significantly to Rs 336.01 lakhs from Rs 614.10 lakhs, a decline of about 45%. EPS fell to Rs 6.52 from Rs 13.15. However, Q4 FY26 showed strong recovery with net profit jumping to Rs 816.34 lakhs from just Rs 174.14 lakhs in Q4 FY25. Total comprehensive income for the year was Rs 256.71 lakhs versus Rs 517.28 lakhs in the prior year.
The full-year profit decline of 45% is concerning for shareholders despite the strong Q4 recovery. The stock may see mixed reaction—positive sentiment from Q4 turnaround but negative from weak annual performance and halved EPS. Investors should monitor if Q4 momentum continues.
