The board of Sunrise Efficient Marketing Ltd approved the standalone audited financial results for the half-year and full year ended 31 March 2025, along with the auditor's report. Revenue from operations grew about 16.6% to Rs. 12,910.17 lakhs (from Rs. 11,073.96 lakhs last year), and profit after tax rose roughly 13.7% to Rs. 922.38 lakhs (from Rs. 811.04 lakhs). Basic EPS stood at Rs. 6.15 versus Rs. 5.41 (restated). The company also carried out a 1:2 bonus issue in April 2024 (paid-up capital rose to Rs. 15 crore) and allotted 51.38 lakh convertible warrants at Rs. 106 each to non-promoters in January 2025, collecting about Rs. 17.05 crore. Statutory auditor SBMG & Co LLP issued an unmodified (clean) opinion, though it flagged key audit matters including a Rs. 231.79 lakh gap between physical stock and book stock, Rs. 470 lakh of short-term loans to other entities, and funds given to directors for business development where Rs. 90 lakh remained uncleared.
Clean audit and decent topline growth are positive signals for shareholders, but the company posted negative operating cash flow of about Rs. 955 lakhs for the year, which is a yellow flag despite strong PAT growth. The warrant proceeds and bonus issue have strengthened the balance sheet and reduced borrowings sharply.
