Acuité Ratings has reaffirmed Superhouse Limited's long-term rating at 'ACUITE A-' and short-term rating at 'ACUITE A2+' on total bank facilities of Rs. 219 crore (Rs. 169 crore long-term, Rs. 50 crore short-term). However, the outlook has been revised downward from 'Stable' to 'Negative'. The negative outlook reflects a revenue decline from Rs. 768.13 crore in FY23 to Rs. 665.85 crore in FY24, with further weakness in 9MFY25 (Rs. 488.95 crore vs Rs. 500.13 crore in 9MFY24). EBITDA margin fell from 7.68% to 5.67% in FY24, and further to 4.78% in 9MFY25, hurt by weak export demand in the US, UK, and Europe. The company still has a healthy financial profile with net worth of Rs. 461.45 crore, gearing of 0.44x, and interest coverage of 3.16x, but working capital remains stretched at 256 days.
The negative outlook is a warning that a rating downgrade could follow if revenue and margin pressures persist, which may weigh on the stock in the short term. However, the rating itself was reaffirmed, and balance sheet metrics remain comfortable, limiting the immediate downside risk.
