Supreme Industries reported Q1 FY26 consolidated revenue from operations of Rs 2,609.21 Cr, slightly down from Rs 2,636.35 Cr in Q1 FY25. Profit before tax fell sharply to Rs 265.18 Cr from Rs 356.94 Cr (-25.7%), and profit after tax dropped to Rs 202.30 Cr from Rs 273.37 Cr (-26%). Standalone PAT was Rs 177.36 Cr vs Rs 236.14 Cr. Consolidated EPS stood at Rs 15.93 vs Rs 21.52. The Plastics Piping segment, the largest, saw revenues decline to Rs 1,792 Cr from Rs 1,858 Cr, while Packaging Products grew to Rs 401.55 Cr from Rs 368.09 Cr. The board also approved the acquisition of Wavin Industries and its two Indian subsidiaries for ~Rs 310 Cr on a slump sale basis, expected to close by July 31, 2025, along with a 7-year exclusive technology license with Wavin B.V. Netherlands. Auditor Lodha & Co. LLP issued an unqualified review report.
Weak quarter with profit declining over 25% despite stable revenue suggests margin pressure from higher raw material costs. The Wavin acquisition and technology tie-up could strengthen the piping business going forward, but near-term earnings are likely to remain under watch.
