Supreme Petrochem filed its Q1-FY26 earnings presentation with the exchanges. Revenue declined 11.88% YoY to INR 13,865 Mn, hurt by lower styrene monomer prices and weak demand for cooling appliances (air conditioners, refrigerators) due to unseasonal rains and a milder summer. Operating EBITDA fell 28.76% YoY to INR 1,147 Mn, with operating margins contracting 196 basis points to 8.27%. Net profit dropped 33.63% YoY to INR 809 Mn, with PAT margins shrinking to 5.83% from 7.75%, and diluted EPS falling to INR 4.30 from INR 6.49. On the positive side, volumes inched up marginally to 93,853 MT, the Xmold Polymers acquisition was completed (now a subsidiary), and the new 70,000 MTA ABS line is on track to begin commercial production in Q2-FY26. The company remains debt-free with an investable surplus of INR 713 crores.
Weak quarter with sharp YoY declines across revenue, margins, and profits is likely to weigh on short-term sentiment, though the strong balance sheet, completed Xmold acquisition, and upcoming ABS capacity offer medium-term growth levers. Investors will watch for margin recovery in subsequent quarters as seasonal demand normalizes.
