The Board of Suraj Industries approved the unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). On a standalone basis, revenue from operations fell to Rs 1,012.80 lakhs from Rs 1,353.46 lakhs in the same quarter last year, a decline of about 25% year-on-year, partly because the trading segment had no operations this quarter. The company slipped into a standalone net loss of Rs 31.68 lakhs versus a profit of Rs 22.34 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Consolidated results were weaker, with revenue of Rs 1,439.97 lakhs (largely from liquor operations) and a consolidated net loss of Rs 127.20 lakhs versus a profit of Rs 65.12 lakhs a year ago. The statutory auditor (Pawan Shubham & Co) issued an unqualified limited review report on both sets of results.
Negative near-term sentiment as the company swung from profit to loss both standalone and consolidated, with standalone revenue contracting sharply and only the liquor segment active this quarter. Investors should note the weaker quarter reflects both lower revenue and absence of trading income, but the clean auditor review limits red flags on reporting quality.
