Sarvottam Finvest reported a Q2 FY26 net profit of Rs. 5.90 lakhs, turning around from a loss of Rs. 22.02 lakhs in Q2 FY25. For the half year (H1 FY26), net profit stood at Rs. 13.23 lakhs versus a loss of Rs. 14.28 lakhs in H1 FY25. Total income, however, fell sharply to Rs. 40.43 lakhs in Q2 (from Rs. 70.46 lakhs) and to Rs. 80.69 lakhs in H1 (from Rs. 131.50 lakhs), driven by lower interest income, absence of stock-in-trade sales, and a net loss on fair value changes. Profit before tax improved to Rs. 25.86 lakhs in H1 from a loss of Rs. 19.29 lakhs, helped by much lower impairment provisions (Rs. 11.80 lakhs vs Rs. 85 lakhs). Total assets stood at Rs. 2,530.37 lakhs with loans of Rs. 2,290.34 lakhs making up most of the book. EPS for Q2 was Rs. 0.08 and Rs. 0.18 for H1.
Positive for shareholders as the company swung to profitability, but the sharp drop in total income and continued negative operating cash flow (Rs. -12.12 lakhs in H1) signal weakening core earnings, which may cap upside in the stock.
