Suryaamba Spinning Mills reported revenue from operations of ₹5,253.12 lakhs for Q1 FY26, up about 4.5% year-on-year from ₹5,025.20 lakhs in Q1 FY25 but down slightly from ₹5,516.48 lakhs in Q4 FY25. Total income came in at ₹5,260.44 lakhs versus ₹5,033.57 lakhs a year ago. Profit after tax (PAT) jumped sharply to ₹61.04 lakhs from ₹19.09 lakhs in Q1 FY25, more than tripling year-on-year, driven by lower raw material and other expenses. EPS rose to ₹2.08 from ₹0.65 in the same quarter last year. The auditor (Manish N Jain & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review report.
Strong year-on-year profit growth despite modest revenue increase points to improved operating efficiency and margin expansion, which is positive for shareholders. However, profits remain thin and the recent equity share capital increase (from ₹203.19 lakhs to ₹293.19 lakhs) suggests a fund raise during the quarter, which may dilute existing shareholders.
