Swan Energy has formed a new subsidiary called Swan Balu Heavy Industries Private Limited (SBHIPL) as a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) with Balu Forge Industries Limited. Swan Energy holds 60% equity, having subscribed to 60,000 shares at face value of Rs. 10 each (cash infusion). The SPV was incorporated in April 2025 and will focus on the Defence, Aerospace, Railways and Nuclear sectors, exploring supply of products and solutions for the global defence industry. Since it is a newly incorporated company with no prior operations, turnover and historical financial details are not applicable.
This move diversifies Swan Energy into high-potential defence and aerospace segments through a partnership with Balu Forge, which is a known name in forging and defence components. Positive for shareholders as it opens a new growth vertical, though near-term financial impact is negligible since the subsidiary is newly formed and the investment is small (Rs. 6 lakh for 60,000 shares at face value).
