Swelect Energy Systems Limited has successfully commissioned a 5 MW solar power plant in Tamil Nadu. The plant is located at Perumpoondi and Nedumpirai Village in Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District, and is connected to the Sirungattur 110/33-11 KV TANTRANSCO substation at 110 KV level. The generated electricity will be supplied to Airport Authority of India (AAI) at Chennai Airport under a third-party power sale model through intra-state open access. With this commissioning, the company has now completed 10 MW of total capacity for the AAI project.
This commissioning adds 5 MW of operational solar capacity, completing the 10 MW target for the AAI project. This strengthens the company's revenue visibility through long-term power sale agreements with a government entity.
