Symphony Limited filed the transcript of its May 8, 2025 earnings call. For FY25, consolidated revenue grew 36% YoY to ₹1,576 crore (crossing the ₹1,500 crore milestone for the first time), EBITDA jumped 83% to ₹316 crore, and PAT rose 44% to ₹213 crore after a ₹50 crore exceptional write-off on the Pathways investment. EBITDA margin expanded by over 500 bps to 20.05% on the back of new model launches, value engineering, and operating leverage. Standalone revenue grew 49% to ₹1,182 crore with EBITDA margin up 400+ bps to 24.25%. The Board recommended a ₹8 final dividend (400%), taking total FY25 payout to ₹178 crore (84% of consolidated profit vs 60% guidance). Management announced the sale process for IMPCO Mexico and Climate Technologies Australia, with an investment banker appointed, and plans to redirect focus to domestic, export, and US markets where tariff-driven displacement of Chinese players has opened large inquiries.
Strong margin expansion and record profits should be viewed positively, though the FY25 PAT is depressed by one-time impairments. Channel inventory is slightly elevated due to an erratic post-March summer, which could pressure near-term secondary sales, but 7-11 weeks of the season remain. The strategic exit from two underperforming subsidiaries and a sharpened focus on US exports and high-growth adjacent categories (tower fans, water heaters, large space ventilation) signal a cleaner, higher-margin business profile ahead.
