Tamilnad Mercantile Bank reported a transformational FY26 with all key metrics exceeding guidance. Total business grew 17.37% to ₹1,15,091 crores against a 15% guidance. CASA deposits surged 22.35% to ₹17,365 crores, while advances grew 20.32% (or 22.57% including IBPC sale). Net profit rose 28.01% to ₹373.65 crores, with ROA at 2.05% and ROE breaking 15% to 15.03%. Asset quality remained exceptional with GNPA at 0.73% and NNPA at 0.18%. The bank opened 44 branches (vs target of 50) and flagged MSME as the next growth driver for FY27. Management guided for 16% deposit growth and 20%+ advances growth in FY27, expecting ROA of 1.9-2%.
