Tamilnad Mercantile Bank (TMB) presented strong FY26 results under new ex-SBI leadership appointed in 2024-25. Total business crossed ₹1,15,091 crore with advances growing 20.32% YoY to ₹53,379 crore and deposits rising 14.94% to ₹61,712 crore. Asset quality reached decade lows with GNPA at 0.73% (down 52 bps) and NNPA at 0.18%. The bank exceeded all Q4 FY26 guidance targets including CASA growth (22.35% vs 15%+ target), NIM (4.18% vs 3.90-3.95% target), and ROA (2.05% vs 1.85%+ target). CASA ratio improved 170 bps YoY to 28.14%. The bank trades at P/B of ~1.15x versus peer average of 1.5x, presenting a valuation rerating opportunity. New leadership has implemented Credit Management Centers, Oracle Fusion ERP, and BRE/LMS systems for tech-led scalability.
Shareholders benefit from superior asset quality, consistent guidance outperformance, and a visible valuation gap that management expects to close as institutional awareness grows. The new SBI-experienced leadership team has delivered the highest-ever quarterly PAT of ₹373.65 crore in Q4 FY26, with clear roadmaps for CASA growth, MSME acceleration, and geographic expansion.
