Tamilnad Mercantile Bank's Board has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 12.50 per equity share (125% on face value of Rs. 10) for FY 2025-26, up from Rs. 11 per share (110%) in the previous year. The dividend is subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM. For FY 2025-26, the bank reported net profit of Rs. 133,755 lakhs, a 13% increase from Rs. 118,261 lakhs in FY 2024-25. Total income grew to Rs. 669,649 lakhs from Rs. 614,175 lakhs. EPS improved to Rs. 84.47 from Rs. 74.68. Asset quality improved significantly with Gross NPA at 0.73% (from 1.25%) and Net NPA at 0.18% (from 0.36%). The bank maintains a strong Capital Adequacy Ratio of 33.73% under Basel III.
The 13.6% increase in dividend reflects the bank's improved profitability and healthy financial metrics. Shareholders can expect a positive response pending AGM approval and announcement of the record date.
