Tamilnad Mercantile Bank filed its revised investor presentation showcasing strong FY26 performance under new ex-SBI leadership. Total business crossed ₹1.15 lakh crore with advances up 20.32% YoY to ₹53,379 crore and deposits up 14.94% YoY to ₹61,712 crore. The bank reported its lowest-ever GNPA of 0.73% (down 52 bps) and NNPA of 0.18% with PCR at 96.14%. Q4 FY26 recorded highest-ever quarterly PAT of ₹373.65 crore with ROA of 2.05%. The bank opened 44 new branches in FY26 and plans 60 more in FY27, targeting 30% business from outside Tamil Nadu. Management guided targets for MSME growth (15-20%), CASA improvement (15%+), and NIM expansion (3.80-3.95%).
The bank has significantly outperformed its own Q4 guidance across all metrics, with asset quality at decade lows and strong profitability. The stock trades at ~1.15x P/B versus peer average of 1.5x, presenting a potential rerating opportunity as institutional awareness grows.
