TNPL has published its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2025 in Business Standard and Thina Mani (Tamil daily) newspapers on 26 July 2025, as required under SEBI listing rules. Total income from operations rose modestly to ₹1,142.10 crore from ₹1,116.57 crore in the same quarter last year, a growth of about 2.3%. However, the company swung to a loss, reporting a net loss after tax of ₹7.41 crore compared to a net profit of ₹21.91 crore in Q1 FY25. Loss before tax and exceptional items was ₹11.82 crore, and after considering exceptional items, the pre-tax loss widened to ₹17.82 crore. EPS turned negative at ₹(1.07) versus ₹3.17 in the year-ago quarter. The results were approved by the board on 25 July 2025.
Despite a small rise in revenue, TNPL moved from profit to loss year-on-year in Q1 FY26, with exceptional items further denting earnings — a negative signal for near-term shareholder sentiment.
