TNPL has shared its audited financial results for FY25 through newspaper advertisements, as required under SEBI listing rules. Revenue from operations for the full year fell to ₹4,490.91 crore from ₹4,689.61 crore in FY24, a decline of about 4%. Net profit after tax collapsed sharply to just ₹3.73 crore compared to ₹208.16 crore in the previous year, a drop of nearly 98%. For Q4 FY25 alone, net profit stood at ₹22.12 crore versus ₹32.99 crore in Q4 FY24, while revenue rose to ₹1,336.77 crore from ₹1,229.47 crore. Full-year EPS came in at ₹0.54 against ₹30.08 last year. Despite the weak earnings, the Board has recommended a dividend of 30% (₹3.00 per share) for FY24-25.
Shareholders are staring at a near-total wipeout in annual profits, which is likely to weigh negatively on the stock. The continued dividend, however, offers some consolation to income-focused investors.
