Tamilnadu Steel Tubes Ltd filed audited financial results for the quarter and full year ended 31 March 2025, approved at the board meeting on 24 May 2025. Full-year revenue from operations rose modestly to Rs. 7,385.80 lakhs from Rs. 7,149.54 lakhs in FY24, a growth of about 3.3%. However, Q4 revenue declined sharply by around 21% to Rs. 1,611.15 lakhs from Rs. 2,035.05 lakhs in the year-ago quarter. Profit before tax improved to Rs. 12.67 lakhs (FY24: Rs. 8.61 lakhs), but profit after tax fell to Rs. 9.96 lakhs from Rs. 28.33 lakhs, mainly because FY24 had a tax credit that did not recur. Basic EPS dropped to Rs. 0.19 from Rs. 0.55. Auditor DPV & Associates issued an un-modified (clean) opinion with no qualifications.
Mixed picture for shareholders — weak top-line growth and a sharp Q4 sales dip raise concerns about demand, while the sharp fall in net profit is largely a base-effect from last year's tax credit rather than operational deterioration. Investors should watch rising current borrowings and trade payables, which point to increased working-capital pressure.
