Tamilnadu Steel Tubes Ltd reported Q2 FY26 net sales of Rs. 2,213.89 lakhs, up from Rs. 1,545.38 lakhs in Q2 FY25 — a year-on-year jump of roughly 43%. For the half year (H1 FY26), net sales rose about 28% to Rs. 4,772.49 lakhs versus Rs. 3,740.37 lakhs a year ago. Profit after tax for the quarter stood at Rs. 4.79 lakhs (vs Rs. 3.13 lakhs YoY), but for the half year PAT slipped to Rs. 9.77 lakhs from Rs. 13.00 lakhs in H1 FY25, indicating margin pressure despite higher turnover. EPS for the quarter was Rs. 0.09 (basic). The statutory auditor (DPV & Associates) issued a clean limited-review report with no qualifications. Operating cash flow for the half year was negative at Rs. -71.48 lakhs and closing cash balance dropped sharply to Rs. 5.62 lakhs from Rs. 154.16 lakhs at the start of the year.
Strong top-line growth is a positive signal, but falling H1 profits and negative operating cash flow suggest the company is not yet converting higher sales into healthy earnings or cash. Short-term shareholder sentiment may remain cautious until margins and cash generation improve.
