Tamilnadu Steel Tubes has submitted copies of newspaper clippings (Makkal Kural in Tamil and Trinity Mirror in English) where it published its audited financial results for the quarter and year ended 31 March 2025, as required by SEBI's listing rules. Full-year revenue from operations rose modestly to Rs. 7,385.80 lakhs from Rs. 7,149.54 lakhs, a growth of about 3.3%. However, full-year profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 9.96 lakhs from Rs. 28.33 lakhs, a drop of nearly 65%. The fourth quarter (Jan–Mar 2025) slipped into a loss with a PAT of Rs. (4.92) lakhs versus Rs. 21.45 lakhs profit in the same quarter last year. Basic EPS for the year stood at Rs. 0.19, down from Rs. 0.55 the previous year.
Despite higher sales, sharply lower annual profit and a quarterly loss signal margin pressure and weak earnings quality, which is a negative signal for shareholders. The stock may see subdued sentiment given the sharp PAT decline and negative Q4 EPS.
