Tanfac Industries has signed a seven-year supply contract with a Japanese customer for fluorinated chemicals, covering 7,500 metric tonnes per annum. The deal is valued at approximately ₹337.5 crore per year, amounting to an aggregate value of around ₹2,362 crore over the contract period. The agreement will be effective from January 1, 2027, and represents 37.5% of the company's recently announced fluorinated chemical plant capacity. The company is a joint sector venture between TIDCO and Anupam Rasayan India Ltd, manufacturing hydrofluoric acid and its derivatives at Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu. Management stated that the contract strengthens export portfolio, enhances earnings predictability, and reinforces its position in the global fluorinated chemicals market.
Positive for shareholders — the deal provides long-term revenue visibility of ~₹337.5 crore annually, signals international demand confidence, and reduces business uncertainty. However, revenue impact begins only from January 2027, so benefits are not immediate.
