Tanla Platforms reported FY26 revenue of ₹44,177 Mn (9.7% YoY growth) with PAT at ₹5,091 Mn (0.4% growth). Gross margin expanded by 50 basis points to 26.6% due to higher-margin OTT channels and Wisely AI deployment. However, EBITDA margin compressed to 16.4% from 17.2% in FY25 as operating expenses rose 25.3% to ₹4,509 Mn due to hiring in AI/ML talent and ₹71 Mn forex loss. Q4 revenue grew 15% YoY to ₹11,775 Mn driven by OTT channels. The company added 339 new customers contributing ₹1,998 Mn. Wisely AI achieved a notable milestone with Indosat Indonesia protecting 100 million users from over 2 billion scam/spam communications in just six months, with Indosat reporting 10% ARPU growth attributed to the platform. Cash position strengthened to ₹11,436 Mn with free cash flow at ₹4,768 Mn (94% of PAT) after paying ₹1,603 Mn dividend and completing ₹1,793 Mn share buyback.
While revenue growth is solid and gross margins are improving, the compression in EBITDA margins due to increased investments in AI talent and higher forex losses raises near-term profitability concerns. The strong cash generation and shareholder returns (dividend + buyback) are positive signals. The successful Wisely AI deployment with Indosat demonstrates product-market fit in enterprise AI communications, though monetization at scale remains to be seen.
