JLR reported Q1 FY27 wholesales of 79,300 units (down 9.2% YoY, down 16.8% vs Q4 FY26) and retail sales of 80,000 units (down 15.3% YoY, down 13.8% vs Q4 FY26). Volumes were hit by a fire at a component supplier, Middle East conflict disruption, and the planned wind-down of older Jaguar models ahead of Jaguar Type 01. Premium model mix (Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Defender) improved to 80.8% from 77.2%. All regions declined; China wholesales down 26.2%, MENA retail down 41.5%. Q1 financials due in August 2026.
Volume drop pressures near-term revenue, but stronger premium mix and temporary nature of supply issues may limit longer-term damage. Watch August results.
