Tata Motors PV Q1 update: Sales jump 46%; JLR volumes hit by supply disruptions and Middle East conflict

Tata Motors reported Q1 FY26 passenger vehicle sales of 1,82,574 units, up 46% year-on-year, with domestic volumes rising 45% to 1,80,166 units and EV sales more than doubling to 34,467 units. June saw record monthly EV sales of 14,800 units, up 183% year-on-year, while Vahan registrations grew around 40%, nearly twice the industry rate. However, JLR wholesale volumes fell 9.2% to 79,300 units due to a supplier fire, Middle East conflict disruptions, and the planned Jaguar model phase-out, though its premium mix strengthened with the Range Rover family accounting for 80.8% of wholesale sales.
