Tata Power Company has issued a reminder to shareholders holding physical share certificates to update their KYC details with the company's Registrar and Transfer Agent, MUFG Intime India Private Limited. The mandatory KYC requirements under SEBI regulations include PAN, address with PIN code, mobile number, bank account details, and specimen signature. Email ID and nomination are optional. From April 1, 2024, dividends and interest for physical shareholders can only be paid through electronic mode if these KYC details are not updated. The company has provided multiple submission methods including in-person verification, hard copy, and e-sign options. Forms ISR-1 and ISR-2 along with detailed instructions are available on the RTA's website.
Physical shareholders who fail to update KYC details may face delays or issues in receiving dividend payments electronically. Dematerialized shareholders are not affected by this requirement as their holdings are already in electronic form.
