Tata Power filed its Q1 FY26 investor presentation detailing results and strategy. Consolidated revenue rose 3.9% YoY to ₹17,464 Cr, while EBITDA grew 11.6% to ₹4,060 Cr, and reported PAT was up 6.1% at ₹1,262 Cr — marking the 23rd consecutive quarter of YoY profit growth. The company invested ₹120 Cr (out of ~₹830 Cr) for a 40% stake in the 600 MW Khorlochhu Hydro Project in Bhutan and signed an MoU with Druk Green Power for 5,100 MW of clean energy projects in Bhutan. Solar rooftop hit a record 45,500 installations (270 MWp) and Solar EPC executed 652 MW of utility-scale projects in the quarter. Net debt increased QoQ to ₹47,578 Cr due to higher capex, though credit ratings were upgraded to AA+/Stable (domestic) and BBB-/Positive (S&P).
Steady earnings growth and a strong renewables/transmission order pipeline are positive, but rising debt from heavy capex is a near-term watch point. Continued credit rating upgrades and reaffirmed long-term clean energy targets support the long-term growth story.
