Tata Steel reported strong financial performance for Q4 FY2026 and full year ended March 31, 2026. Standalone revenue grew 5.4% year-on-year to ₹1,39,720 crore, while consolidated revenue rose 6.2% to ₹2,32,140 crore. Standalone net profit after tax increased 15% to ₹16,065 crore, and consolidated net profit surged 243% to ₹10,886 crore compared to FY2025. Basic EPS on consolidated basis improved to ₹8.65 from ₹2.74 in the prior year. The company maintained a healthy debt-equity ratio of 0.48 standalone and 0.79 consolidated. The results were approved by the Board on May 15, 2026, and audited by Deloitte Haskins & Sells LLP with an unmodified opinion.
Strong bottom-line growth with consolidated net profit more than tripling year-on-year indicates operational efficiency gains. The 243% jump in consolidated net profit versus 15% standalone growth suggests significant improvement in subsidiary performance. Positive for shareholders with improved earnings per share across both standalone and consolidated figures.
