Tata Steel has submitted copies of newspaper advertisements containing its Q1 FY26 financial results (quarter ended June 30, 2025) published in five newspapers: Free Press Journal, Indian Express, Financial Express, Navshakti, and Loksatta, in compliance with SEBI Listing Regulations. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations came in at ₹31,014.36 crore versus ₹32,957.89 crore in Q1 FY25 (a slight YoY decline), while net profit after tax rose to ₹3,523.25 crore from ₹3,330.95 crore. Basic EPS stood at ₹2.82 (₹2.67 in Q1 FY25). On a consolidated basis, revenue was ₹53,178.12 crore versus ₹54,771.39 crore in Q1 FY25, but net profit after tax jumped sharply to ₹2,007.36 crore from ₹918.57 crore — more than doubling year-on-year. Consolidated EPS improved to ₹1.67 from ₹0.77.
For shareholders: This is a routine regulatory filing (newspaper publication), not new information. However, the embedded results are encouraging — especially the sharp consolidated profit recovery from a weak Q1 FY25 base, suggesting improving profitability at the group level despite slightly lower revenues. This could be mildly positive for sentiment.
