Tata Steel shared its investor presentation at the 118th AGM on July 2, 2025. Key financial highlights show the company swung from a loss of Rs 4,910 crore in FY24 to a profit of Rs 3,174 crore in FY25, with EBITDA improving from Rs 23,402 crore to Rs 25,802 crore despite revenue dipping from Rs 2,29,171 crore to Rs 2,18,543 crore. Steel deliveries grew to 30.96 million tonnes (from 29.39 MT), and the board recommended a Rs 3.60 per share dividend for FY25. The company highlighted India capacity expansion plans (TSK Phase 2 ramp-up, 0.75 MTPA EAF at Ludhiana, 2.2 MTPA CRM at Kalinganagar) and UK transition from blast furnaces to a ~3 MTPA EAF by 2027. It retained investment-grade credit ratings from S&P and Moody's and reiterated a Net Zero target by 2045.
The return to profitability and EBITDA expansion on lower revenue suggest margin recovery, which is positive for shareholders. Continued dividend and capacity growth plans support the long-term growth story, though the lower top line and ongoing capex in the UK transition warrant monitoring.
