Tata Steel reported consolidated FY2025 revenue of Rs 2,18,543 crores and EBITDA of Rs 25,802 crores, up 10% YoY despite lower realisations. India operations remained the strong performer with FY25 EBITDA of Rs 29,285 crores at a 22% margin and record deliveries of ~20.9 million tons. UK operations posted an EBITDA loss of £385 million (fixed costs cut by 23% or ~Rs 2,600 crores), while Netherlands turned around to €90 million EBITDA. The Board recommended a dividend of Rs 3.60 per share. The company spent Rs 15,671 crores on capex in FY25, net debt stood at Rs 82,579 crores, and group liquidity remained healthy at Rs 38,791 crores.
For shareholders: Strong India performance and turnaround signals in UK/Netherlands are positives, but consolidated margin remains under pressure from lower realisations and UK losses. The Rs 3.60 dividend and cost savings roadmap of Rs 11,500 crores for FY26 provide some near-term support, though high net debt of Rs 82,579 crores remains a watchpoint.
