TeamLease Services hosted its Q4 FY26 earnings call with new MD & CEO Suparna Mitra making her debut. Revenue came in softer at INR2,925 crore (down 2% sequentially) due to full-quarter impact of one large NBFC client in-sourcing ~20,000 associates to their own payroll in Q3, which management flagged earlier. However, operating discipline delivered strong profit growth: Q4 EBITDA grew 8% sequentially, PBT grew 30% YoY to INR143 crore (including INR143 crore income tax refund), and PAT grew 22% YoY. Full-year FY26 showed EBITDA +14%, PBT +36%, and EPS of INR83 (28% YoY growth). The General Staffing business closed Q4 with ~2.87 lakh associates, recovering 70% of the NBFC-related headcount loss on a sequential basis. PAPM (price-per-associate-per-month) improved steadily to INR689 in Q4 from INR669 in Q1, driven by ~70% of new mandates being signed on variable markup model. Cost-to-hire reduced ~20% YoY via process and tech leverage. Specialised Staffing (GCC-led) delivered 15% YoY PBT growth with 7,500 associates and rising AI/data/cloud skill demand. The Board approved a INR1,600/share buyback (25% of free reserves) funded from INR600 crore net free cash. Management targets >20% EBITDA growth for FY27.
Strong profitability execution despite top-line headwinds demonstrates operating leverage. The buyback signals confidence in intrinsic value. Planned exit of ~10,000 low-margin mandates in H1 FY27 is expected to be offset by the 20,000 open positions pipeline, resulting in positive net headcount for H1. Margin expansion trajectory is supported by mix shift toward higher-margin specialised staffing and DA.
