Terai Tea Company has published its unaudited financial results for Q2 and H1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 September 2025) in The Echo of India (English) and Arthik Lipi (Bengali) on 16 November 2025. The Board had approved the results on 14 November 2025. In Q2 FY26, standalone revenue from operations stood at Rs 1,531.51 lakhs, down sharply from Rs 3,134.07 lakhs in Q2 FY25, while other income was Rs 19.17 lakhs. The company swung to a net loss of Rs 342.83 lakhs after tax in Q2 FY26, compared to a profit of Rs 851.50 lakhs in the year-ago quarter and Rs 402.61 lakhs in Q1 FY26. For H1 FY26, net profit after tax dropped to just Rs 59.79 lakhs from Rs 851.50 lakhs in H1 FY25. Consolidated results showed a Q2 net loss of Rs 342.83 lakhs but included a Rs 51.25 lakh share of profit from associates, lifting total comprehensive income to Rs 291.58 lakhs. Standalone basic EPS for Q2 FY26 was negative Rs 4.98.
The sharp revenue fall and swing to a quarterly loss signal significant operational weakness for shareholders, and the weaker H1 print suggests margins and demand have deteriorated versus the previous year, which is likely negative for short-term sentiment on the stock.
