TeraWulf jumps on $19 billion data center lease deal with Anthropic

US-listed bitcoin miner TeraWulf has secured a lease deal worth about 19 billion dollars with AI company Anthropic for a purpose-built AI infrastructure campus at its Justified Data site in Hawesville, Kentucky. The campus will support around 401 megawatts of critical IT load, with initial capacity online in H2 2027 and full capacity by early 2028. Separately, TeraWulf agreed to sell its 50.1 percent stake in the Abernathy joint venture to a Fluidstack-led investor group, monetising roughly 450 million dollars of invested capital at a premium.
