Bajaj Holdings & Investment Limited's board has recommended a final dividend of Rs. 28 per share (280% on face value of Rs. 10) for FY25, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM on 6 August 2025. Combined with the interim dividend of Rs. 65 per share already paid in October 2024, the total dividend for FY25 works out to Rs. 93 per share (930%). The record date is fixed for 27 June 2025, and the dividend will be credited by 15 August 2025. Standalone profit after tax fell to Rs. 1,291.83 crore from Rs. 2,896.46 crore in FY24, largely because FY24 included a one-time Rs. 1,153 crore profit from tendering shares in Bajaj Auto's buyback. The board also approved appointing Khandelwal Jain & Co as joint statutory auditor for three years and authorised BHIL to acquire up to 19.95% stake each in Bajaj Allianz General Insurance and Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance from Allianz SE, taking the Bajaj Group's holding to 100%.
Shareholders holding shares by 27 June 2025 will receive the final dividend, making this attractive for income-focused investors. However, lower core earnings (excluding the one-off buyback gain) and the proposal to re-categorise the company as a Core Investment Company may be watched closely by the market.
