Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the appointment of M/s S R B C & CO LLP (SRBC) as their new statutory auditors. The current auditors, M/s BSR & Co. LLP, are completing their second consecutive 5-year term at the conclusion of the 126th Annual General Meeting in 2027. The new appointment will be for 5 years from the 126th AGM in 2027 until the 131st AGM in 2032, subject to shareholder approval. SRBC is part of the S.R. Batliboi & Affiliates network of audit firms, which audits several large listed companies across diverse sectors.
This is a routine planned auditor rotation following completion of the existing auditor's term, as per regulatory requirements. The change should have no material impact on the stock price as it is a standard governance procedure.
