Ramco Cements reported 6% revenue growth to Rs.9,056 crores in FY26, driven by 4% price improvement. Sales volume grew marginally by 2% to 18.81 million tons. EBITDA surged 16% to Rs.1,482 crores with margins expanding from 15% to 16%. PAT more than doubled to Rs.694 crores from Rs.417 crores, boosted by Rs.574 crores from sale of surplus lands under exceptional items. Net debt was reduced significantly by Rs.817 crores to Rs.3,664 crores, improving the debt-to-EBITDA ratio from 3.51x to 2.47x. However, cost pressures are building up with pet coke prices rising to $150-160/ton, packing material costs up Rs.120/ton, and diesel prices increased by Rs.4/litre, collectively impacting costs by Rs.570 per ton from Q2FY27 onwards.
Strong profitability improvement and significant deleveraging are positives for shareholders. However, rising input costs and muted demand outlook in key southern markets may pressure margins in FY27 despite cement price hikes of Rs.15-25 per bag taken in April 2026.
